Liminal Spaces

The photography that I feel drawn to is a melding of this liminal space I grew up in. Part urban jungle and part nature refuge. Currently, I have been fascinated by the way they coexist. How over grown vines merge with concrete and graffiti. It's a representation of how I always identified. I wasn't of neither worlds, I thought then and there was this inner conflict of not knowing who I was or where I came from. Being a child of immigrant parents created this confusion of identity and I found safety on the streets and in the local green spaces. I believe my photography captures that middle ground of existence. Coming to a place where both parts meet. A reconciliation of past, present and future. ~SEeR
