This is the last full moon of 2021. As we look back at the past two years there have been many ongoing POSTPONEMENTS all across the board, due to the pandemic. Although they have created a painful stagnation of life, the SLOWING DOWN has allowed us enough time to evaluate our values and the world as a whole. These two cards are all about contemplation and resting. All the expectations we had, are slowly being released in order for us to overcome our delusions because we can't keep living in the way we have. Strangely enough even with all the persistent uncertainty of covid, I feel this full moon is optimistic. And not the "bury your head in the sand" toxic positivity kind but more of a "we have to get our shit together and we will" conviction. Because truthfully it's the only way through! The slowing down of postponement also gives us a moment of SERENIDAD/SERENITY. You will not find peace outside in the world now but you can cultivate that within you. "You can feel serene, even in the midst of great turmoil. Serenity is a practiced state of mind." EIGHT OF SWORDS warns us not to get stuck in victimization mentality due to these current loses and limitations. It is understandably very easy to get caught in negative thinking but there are always options even if not evident now. We can't give up and create even more restrictions in our thinking and perspective.
What is needed is hope, creating solutions and seeing things with a new outlook which is what THE FOOL & STAR give us. It is surely a wake up call that is connected to old intergenerational ancestral karma and its time to acknowledge that and take responsibility. THE STAR comes with hope for a new beginning and THE FOOL is off starting a new journey. We are to start again, to adapt to the "beginner's mind" with innocent curiosity in order to see all the possibilities of salvation that are available to us. Of course we have to choose it. Pick something different than what we have known and lived. We just have to keep our hearts open even in the middle of chaos. And what can guide us is THE HIGH PRIESTESS, the wisdom that we all possess but to listen to that deep knowing and intuition we must welcome the stillness and silence. True wisdom comes from quiet reflection and contemplation. That takes much bravery and courage to delve into the depth of your soul but now is the time!
