Waking Dream

Art: New Oaxaca DIOSA addition to my oracle deck project

This one was inspired by a mixture of Mexica folklore. Both Toci the Aztec goddess of healing, mother of the gods and Mayan deity Temazcalteci, goddess of health & medicinal herbs. The bird is a Great kiskadee which symbolizes rebirth and positive change!

“Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes”. How you feel on the inside radiates to others.” ~Carl Jung
.
I’ve been reflecting on dreams and the act of dreaming. Both the waking dream and the sleeping dream. How if we put our complete gaze onto the outer world, we can easily get lost in illusion or even disillusion. But if we temper it with messages and visions we receive from inside us or even from other realms where our allies reside. Among them ancestors waiting to connect with us to gift us guidance. Awakening buried knowings, through our subconscious which is undoubtably connected to the collective unconscious, then we can find our way through bringing them forth in our reality. And if enough of us can remember then we have the opportunity to create a new dream!
